The Aumotions website explores Autism from a different angle- from the perspective of the parents. It does not aim to help autistic kids with any type of skills. However, this would come as a result of the programme in the long term. The main target user is autism parents that are often left on the background of the whole situation because they need support too just like their kids.
The Aumotions website is informative resource in the form of a personal diary for ASD parents.  It follows the everyday journey of the family providing the carer with a virtual space where he/she can type the daily routine of their child and print it/ transfer it to a mobile device for more convenience. All of the information can be saved so the parent can always come back to a previous week to see what the routine has been and how it has changed and explore why. Furthermore, the user is provided with a ‘room’ for posting illustrative/informative material that is often found as highly helpful for teaching ASD children certain learning skills. The parent can embed as much rooms as he/she wants to and all of them will be manually titled by the user. For example, if Maria wants to show her daughter progress she can create a room named ‘Moments to be proud of’ and include any type of media within it. Gary may want to create a virtual room for sharing the hard moments in his family life and providing tips in the form of videos/audios/text for behaviour modification. All of these rooms are visible and open for the followers who are able to see what the parent has posted and use it as advice resource if they want.
Because the information being posted concerns health issues each post will have to be verified by administrator who is a professional in the field of ASD. This advocates the reliability of the whole website and the content being posted.
Aumotions is a big social hub where parents of autistic kids share their journey with others that go through something similar. The forum being created provides a virtual space where parents are able to obtain information in a real time with other parents and specialists who are responsible for providing professional help when it is needed.
Additional option is to find a parent whose child has similar autism behavior, habits, characteristics. Using filters and answering key questions the website connects the users with their ‘au-mates’ so they can share tips and simple everyday experiences in order to learn from each other.
Overall the website/programme follows the journey of the parent in the form of a diary where he/she flows all of their emotions, has them saved into their account, gets support from their followers and the forum and creates a personal environment to share with people that are going through the same journey.
